Breeding Better Bostons Around the world with
international friends and partners!
One of my goals as a lover of the breed is to
improve the breed to the best of my ability. Improving the
breeding also means improving in ALL areas, not just
“prettiness”. This includes health, longevity, temperament, and
personality as well. This means going beyond myself and my own
kennel. To me, it means mentoring “newbies” who truly have the
best interest of the breed at heart, as well as helping a few,
select breeders in other countries with the same goals and
interest.
I have formed international “partnerships” with a few breeders
around the world, on different continents, who share the same
dream of improving the Boston Terrier to the best of our
ability. These are people I know and trust and believe to be
truly reputable, putting the future of the breed foremost in
their breeding programs and who also help and mentor others.
Paola Belletti of
Notting Hill Kennel
in Italy is a very close and dear friend of mine. She has shown
Taison in several countries, earning titles in most of them. She
has used Taison to improve her breeding program and expand the
gene pool. She sent me Tequila and I sent her Livie. Hopefully,
we will help each other to improve what we have in our own
kennels, but also lend a hand to those just getting started in
this wonderful breed. Paola and her family, Antonio and Bea,
have welcomed me into their home with open arms and treated me
like family while I was in England and Italy in 2008. I hope to
visit them again and also hope they will visit me one day so I
can extend them the same warm welcome.
Shaun & Crystal Graham of
Togra Boston Terriers in South Africa
are also my good personal friends and international partners.
Shaun & Crystal also provided a loving home to Taison while he
was in South Africa, showing him to his title there. From Shaun
& Crystal, I have Serene who has already produced one champion
for me. And, to them, I will be sending Sid as soon as he
completes his American & Canadian championships. I have invited
the Grahams to my home and hope to visit them one day as well.
Paul De Leon of Promise Land Boston Terriers in the Philippines
is my third international partner. Although we have not yet
exchanged any dogs, I am certain that we will one day. Paul has
the same love of the breed that I do and consistently works to
improve what he has. He has visited me in the past, and maybe
one day I will be able to visit him as well. In the meantime, I
hope to breed an outstanding male that he can add to his
breeding program and expand the gene pool in the Philippines.
Thank you Paola, Shaun, Crystal, and Paul for loving the Boston
Terrier breed as I do and for your commitment to do what you can
to improve them in your countries. I am proud to call you my
friends and my international partners!!! Good luck and God bless
you in your endeavors!
